You got it! Here’s a list of 37 things you can do with your kids during the holidays!
Winter break is so exciting (yay, no car line or packing lunches!). But if you’re looking for some easy and cheap things to do with your kids to keep them busy, I’ve compiled a list for you below!
Indoor activities for kids:
- Make Christmas ornaments. (These are so easy to paint and if the kids mess up, you wipe them off and start over!)
- Read Christmas stories or listen to Christmas read aloud books.
- Go through all their toys, get rid of any toys they don’t want so you can “make room for new ones!”
- Go on a scavenger hunt inside
- Set up a fort or blankets on the living room floor and watch Christmas movies
- Bake cookies or decorate Christmas cookies
- Decorate gingerbread houses
- Take Outschool classes (if you haven’t heard about Outschool, its awesome! You can sign up you kids for classes about art, story time, crafts, gaming, and more!)
- Make handmade Christmas cards for friends and family
- Write a letter to Santa of what you want for Christmas
- Have a spa day
- Let the kids go swimming in the bathtub!
- Play restaurant while cooking dinner
- Make bracelets for friends and family
- Go on a scavenger hunt
- Set a timer, have a cleaning contest, whoever finishes their area first, wins a prize or a treat! Thank
- Have a picnic
- Sing Christmas carols and use toy instruments or use instruments you make from paper towel rolls or kitchen utensils
- Play board games

- Make a hot chocolate bar with toppings from the dollar store or stuff you already have!
- Plan a gift exchange with handmade gifts

Outdoor activities for kids:

- Drive around looking at Christmas lights and decorations
- Go to local holiday events
